Description

A Chinese white glazed cover box dating to the Southern Song to Yuan dynasty, 1200s. Probably made in one of the Fujian kilns such as Dehua. Lid stamped with a 大 character.
Condition:
- Shallow chips to the rims
- General wear, scratches and stains from age
- Clay has some age lines
- Kiln grit and slight shrinkage marks
- There is a gap between the lid and base as the contact surface is not perfectly level
Measures about 9cm across.
