Here is a rare opportunity FOR FINE SILVER COLLECTORS to own an superb quality English early VICTORIAN period sterlingsilver tea set by a great English maker.
Offered outstanding quality sterling silver tea set by ROBERTS & SLATER, SHEFFIELD , 1853. COMPRISING: Coffee pot, tea
pot, open sugar and cream jug. Each piece is hand chased, ornately decorated with scrolls & floral pattern. Engraved with Noble
family crest in the central car-touche. The crest is ~arm with arrows above the crown~. (Looks like Count crown) The coffee &
teapot lid decorated with flower / leaf finial. The handles are insulated. The body of each piece resting on a heavy round base.
The sugar bowl have gilded interior All pieces are hallmarked with a duty mark, lion, leopard head, date mark, makers initials
"R & S" - ROBERTS & SLATER.
SIZE:
COFFEE POT - 9 1/2" H, 10" from handle to spout tip. Weight - 890 grams.
TEA POT - 7 1/2" H, 10 1/2" from handle tip to spout tip. Weight - 800 grams.
CREAM JUG - 6" H, 5" from handle tip to spout tip. Weight - 280 grams.
SUGAR BOWL - 6" high, 7 1/4" from handle tip to handle tip. Weight - 460 grams.
