    We are offering a
    RARE
St. Louis World's Fair Folder of Unused Coupons.  The American Street Railway Association held its 23rd Annual Meeting at the World's Fair Grounds from Oct. 10th to Oct. 15th, 1904.  These coupons were issued to members and friends of the association to be used on transit cars throughout the fair in payment of fare on the days the meetings were held.  The folder (3 1/4" x 5 1/2") contains 28 unused tickets.
The front cover of the folder has a beautifully embossed depiction of a woman draped in a flowing robe holding a cornucopia high above her head and standing on a wheel with the fairgrounds far below her.  The back cover depicts the signing of the transfer for the Louisiana Purchase in 1803.  Present are Robert Livingston and James Monroe for the United States, and Barbe Marbois for France.  The fair was officially called The Louisiana Purchase Exposition, but was informally known as the St. Louis World's Fair.
