    Description

This is a round embossed pint milk bottle from Southern California with a 56mm plug cap finish. It has 16 embossed glass studs around the neck of the milk bottle. The bottle embossed on one side between two embossed ribs that go around the bottle on one side:
    SCMDA
Note from the photos that the M is huge compared to the other letters.
At the front heal roll it is embossed: ONE PINT
SCMDA stands for Southern California Milk Dealers' Association. The milk bottle was manufactured in 1927 by the Illinois Pacific Glass Corporation located in San Francisco, CA. (My maker information source is Glass Milk Bottles: Their Makers And Marks (1980) by Jeffrey L. Giarde).
Embossed on the bottom of the bottle is a design of what looks like 4 crossed spears with spear heads at both end.
This vintage milk bottle has a one dinged/chipped area on the inside of the finish (on the top of the lips surrounding the opening to the milk bottle). It has a minimal amount of little scrapes on the bottle and white staining inside the bottle. It is in very good condition and close to near mint.
