3pc Sterling Silver Harvard Medical Crest Reed Barton Pointed Antique Tea Set

Presented is a fabulous 3 piece sterling silver tea set by Reed & Barton. This set is done in the elegant Pointed Antique pattern. This is a simple, classical pattern featuring clean lines and a bright mirror finish. Each piece has a finely engraved crest of a rampant lion in a shield beneath the Latin word 'Veritas' which translates to 'truth.' This is the crest for Harvard University's College of Medicine. This is a fantastic tea set, well made from thick, heavy silver. The interiors of the pieces are spotlessly clean and ready for use.
The set consists of:
1 teapot--8 inches tall and measures about 10 inches from spout to handle.
1 Sugar bowl with lid--6 1/4 inches tall and about 7 inches from handle to handle.
1 cream pitcher--5 1/8 inches tall.
This set is in excellent overall condition. There has been a monogram removal underneath the crest on all three pieces, but these removals were so well done it is nearly impossible to tell anything was ever there at all. The metal is not thinned at all, and the pieces could easily be monogrammed or engraved with whatever you like. There are no splits, no leaks, no dents, no monograms, and no repairs.
Each piece is stamped on the underside with the maker's mark for Reed & Barton as well as sterling. The sugar bowl also has an original Reed & Barton sticker on the underside.
The total weight for the set is 1288 grams or 45.5 regular ounces.
