    4p Heavy Antique Victorian English Sterling Silver Barnard Coffee Tea Set A Mono
    Presented is an antique, 4 piece, English sterling silver coffee and tea set made by Edward and John Barnard of London between 1852 and 1853. This mid 19th century, Victorian set is very heavy weight and is crafted with thick gauge silver. The pieces are very ornately decorated, with hand chased flowers, fruits and scrolls as well as applied leaf feet and flower finials. The spout of the pots have an intricate North Wind face. Each piece has a great monogram of the letter A on one side. This is an incredible quality set, in ready to use condition!
    Each piece is marked with the lion passant for sterling silver purity, the leopard's head symbol for the city of London, a duty mark of Queen Victoria's head and a maker's mark Edward and John Barnard. The coffeepot has an R date letter for the year 1852; the teapot, creamer and sugar bowl have a date letter S for the year 1853.
    This set includes:
    1 Coffeepot: 10 1/4 inches from handle to spout and 10 1/2 inches tall.
    1 Teapot: 10 5/8 inches from handle to spout and 7 1/2 inches tall.
    1 Sugar Bowl: 8 1/2 inches from handle to handle and 4 3/4 inches tall.
    1 Creamer. 5 1/4 inches from handle to spout and 5 3/4 inches tall.
    This set is in fabulous overall condition and the designs are very crisp. There is hardly any surface wear and the light wear there is can easily be buffed/polished out.
