Description

Presented is a fine quality, heavy weight sterling silver tea set made by the International Silver Company. This elegant set is masterfully crafted in oval, half ribbed form. The domed covers have a matching ribbed design that is repeated on the meticulously carved black wooden finials. The finials themselves are raised on pedestal bases and capped in sterling silver. The creamer, sugar bowl and waste bowl have thick banded upper rims and threaded, ribbon form handles that taper at the end. The coffee and teapots have elegantly carved leaf cap handles. The set has never been monogrammed or engraved.
The set includes:
Coffee pot: 10 inches handle to spout and 7 inches tall. Weighs 665 grams or 23.3 ounces. The capacity is 8 cups.
Teapot: 10 inches handle to spout and 6 inches tall. Weighs 695 grams or 24.4 ounces. The capacity is 9 cups.
Creamer: 5 5/8 inches handle to spout and 4 1/4 inches tall. Weighs 226.7 grams or 7.9 ounces.

The overall condition of the set is excellent. The set appears to have been rarely, if ever, used. There is a dent to the spout of the coffeepot, but no other damages. All five pieces are exceptionally clean on the interior and ready to use. The handles are tight to the bodies.
