Description
Presented is a handsome, sterling silver chocolate or hot milk pot from England. The body is rounded, with a cylinder top portion that has a very slight spout. The lid has a fine shell decoration for a thumb hold and the handle is made of black, curved wood.The side is marked with the crown symbol for the city of Sheffield, the lion passant for sterling silver, a date letter n for the year 1905 and a maker's mark HA for Atkins Brothers. The underside of the lid is also marked with HA and the lion passant.
This fine quality piece is in excellent condition. There is only the most minor surface wear and tiniest of dents. There are no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The pot measures 5 3/4 inches from handle to tip of spout, is 6 5/8 inches tall and weighs 382 grams or 12.3 troy ounces.
