This auction is for one handle that was salvaged from a hallmarked sterling silver teapot made in the United Kingdom: the teapot is shown in the last two pics but is NOT included in this auction.
The finial is being sold in a separate listing.
The handle is solid with no cracks, chips, bends or major issues. It cleaned up nicely with a little furniture polish to the deep black color shown.
It is solid wood, likely ebony, though I am not certain. Each end is solid for re-mounting.
The maker’s hallmark was not present to help identify the year of production: I estimate it was made circa 1925.
It’s a rare and useful part!
