Antique Chinese purse / belt pouch, hand embroidered with very fine silk chain stitch and couching of metal threads, on red silk, hand woven endless knots above the tassels, and finely hand wrapped tassels with silver and copper colored metal threads, scent pouches would be tied to belts to hide body odor, Ch'ing Dynasty, late 19thC, condition issues include but are not limited to, loose and missing couching threads, the drawstrings have separated from the rim, the approximate size of the pouch is 2.5 inches wide x 3 inches tall, the draw strings with tassels are about 12 inches long, #6178, a worthy candidate for restoration
