A rare antique early London 1791 George 111 18th century wine ewer jug.Renowned and collectible London Silversmiths Peter & Ann Bateman. These are now used as wine jugs. Lovely fruitwood handle. Weighs 737 grams including handle. Full hallmarks struck to the outside. On the bottom G S 1791. This is the first year that Peter & Ann registered together. Ann was in partnership with her brother in law Peter. Hester Bateman was Peters father and a renowned Silversmith. Ann’s first mark was registered in 1791 the year of this fine piece. 14” tall. Beautiful piece. Very good condition. No cracks or large dents to any of the silver. No repairs. Please email questions.
