Antique James Tufts Silverplated Vase 1034, Ornate, Victorian Posey Holder

8.25 ounces.   5 1/4" high.   2 7/8" wide at mouth. The base is just slightly less.  2" width at pinched waist.

Charming small Victorian silverplate vase with applique of flowers and a pinched waist.  These small vases were popular in the Victorian era and could be used as a posey, or small bouquet , holder.   This vase wears its age well with a good balance of shine and muted patina.. There is surface wear and tarnish as expected and an old bend on the scalloped base rim where it is pushed in. Please see photos. The vase sits level and solid, and it holds water. Nice size fist /posey vase.
