    Description

    Offering this elegant old black lacquered Japanese papier mache fan or glove box. It has a burnished gold and bronze fall leaves and flowers design. As you can see, there are some age-related wear and condition issues including fading to the gilded paintwork and one side of the lid missing. Having said that, you can also see from the pictures that this was once a very fine box and still displays very well. Would pair beautifully with a fan of the same age. Measures about 15" x 3 3/4" x 3 1/2".
