    Description

    This is an original small covered ceramic box from China produced during the Ming Dynasty. This ceramic was produced in China principally for export to the number of Chinese Communities scattered through Southeast Asia and is sometimes called Chinese Trade Pottery.  This unique original piece dates from the Ming Period and was purchased by my father in Penang, Malaysia during the period he owned an Asian antique shop on the island in the 1970's to early 1980's.
