    completely hand crafted
    Arthur Stone
    sterling silver
    tea kettle
    and
    matching stand & burner.
    Owned by
    Henry Ford II.
    Stone born 1847 in and trained in England.
    Came to America 1884,
    with William Durgin
    as
    silversmith & designer.
    Opened his own shop 1901
    Gardner, Massachusetts.
    One of the last independent
    designers and master silversmiths in
    new England
    to train and employ other
    Masters & apprentices.
    Written provenance
    provided
    to the winning bidder.
    Set never monogrammed, despite being owned by the Fords.
    This Henry Ford II hand wrought kettle on matching stand
    is 12 inches tall set weighs touch under 60 inches.
    Hallmarked as shown including the Hammer & Stone mark
    as well as from Benjamin Harrison, who worked with
    Stone 1912 - 1937.
    In very, very fine condition.
    Interior clean as if little used.
    Retains original detail.
    Rich sterling patina throughout.
    Original handle secure.
    Cover well fit.
    Original hallmarked burner.
