Brass Top Lake Shore & Michigan Southern Railway Railroad Bell Bottom Lantern

Description

This early bell bottom lantern is marked on the clear globe L.S. & MSRY.  The lantern has been painted black, which I see no markings.  The outer ring on the base has separated, it appears the solder has given away.  The burner is marked Millers Co. Meriden and is brass. the glass is nice.  The clear globe measures 5 1/2". There are many chips on the globe with the bottom having a large piece out of the base, none are really visible when closed.  Also the globe does not easily come out of the frame.  Sold as is.
