    Description

    A nice large round covered porcelain paste box or cosmetics box from the Kangxi period with a rich deep blue cobalt painting of a rose bush with blades of grass. The glaze is nice thick bluish white glaze with a very soft feel.
    The base unglazed flange fits the lid unglazed mouth rim snugly. The shallow foot ring is unglazed. It is hand potted. You can see the wheel marks from the potter on the foot ring and the interior.
