Chinese Carved Wood Large Vase Display Lamp Stand Base Vintage 1052

Description

This is a large vintage Chinese wood stand or base with beautifully carved lotus design around the bottom edge and five feet on the bottom.  The color is a dark reddish brown with a satin, slightly shiny finish.
It is about 8-3/4" overall diameter, 2-3/4" tall. The inside rim where the bottom of the bowl or vase fits is 6-7/8" x 7" in diameter.  As wood ages, it shrinks more across the grain than along the grain, which may cause antique or vintage examples to be slightly oval rather than perfectly round on top.  The stand is perfect for displaying a vase, bowl, figurine or creating a lamp from a vase.
I am guessing that it dates to about the 1960's or so, and it is in excellent vintage condition.  There are no cracks or chips.
