Chinese Happy Buddha Wall Hanging, “Ushering in Wealth & Prosperity” Red Tassels
The Chinese Characters at the top of this colorful Chinese Happy Buddha Wall Hanging translate to wish Wealth and Prosperity upon its owner. The laughing Happy Buddha, himself, reclines at the bottom of the large center medallion with his leg and foot each raising a bowl of gold in a toast to Good Luck. Resting on the Buddha's belly is a carved faux jade centerpiece that has a dragon and a phoenix bird that surround the Chinese symbol for Good Luck. (See our photo #6 showing the meaning of each of the golden Chinese characters at the top of the centerpiece. The wall hanging measures approximately 34” tall from the top of its hanging loop to the bottom tip of its red tassels. The center medallion is constructed of wood colored resin and is approximately 9” tall and 8” wide.
In China, the 4 golden Chinese characters at the top are a self-congratulatory idiom, usually written on a piece of red paper and put up in stores to bring good luck and riches.
