Measures approximately or close to 2" across, 2" tall and 3/4" wide/deep.  I don't know if the engraved characters are Chinese or Japanese.  NOTE one rounded corner of the lid has a solder color and there appears to be a crack there (either a repair or how it was constructed).  Interior has a "peppery" odor.  I'm not positive but it looks like the interior liner is copper, it also looks like the trim on the lid might be copper.  Patina is as found (no cleaning or polishing).
