Chinese Lacquer Chinoiserie Sewing Box Lacquerware 18th 19th Century.
This measures 8 1/4 inches long 5 5/8 inches wide and 5 inches tall.
This is quite beautiful and in good condition. Small bump on top of lid, left center. Some stress cracks to the exterior of the lid, but mainly visible on the interior of the lid. The lock does not have a key. there is a small separation on the front panel of the box where the lid meets the lower portion of the box. Upper tray has many small accessories and two fitted lids with hand-painted detail. The tray lifts out for more space in the belly of the box. The painting is very fine and has nicely carved feet. Scattered where and cracks at the corners of the box. This displays very nicely.
This will be carefully handled and securely packaged.
