Chinese Republic 1930s Incised Bat Design Stone and Coin Medallions Wood Lined Brass Box
Finely detailed and decorated wood lined brass box from the 1930s. The box is decorated on all four sides and the top in incised bats. The top is centered with a hand cut stone medallion of a Phoenix. The four corners of the top are decorated with Chinese coin design medallions. The interior is wood lined. The base is marked with a punched “CHINA”.
This box is in excellent condition for being 90 years old. The brass has nicely toned and there are toning stains.
A wonderful piece of handmade brass work.
