This vintage pedal was made in England by Sola Sound (makers of the classic Tone Bender fuzz pedals). It dates from the 1970s.
The pedal was just tested and works. The phase effect is much more subtle than most modern phaser pedals. It does noticeably work better with a tube amp than with a solid state amp (it was tested with both).
The pedal does not take the standard 9V electric adapters. It currently only works by connecting a 9 volt battery. It likely could be adapted to work with a power supply with some soldering.
The pedal is missing the cover for the battery supply. Additionally the battery connector itself is the original 1970s wiring and over time one of the two connector cables (the black one) has disconnected. Despite this, the pedal still works somehow. For safety and practical purposes a meeting battery wiring harness should be installed.
The surface of the pedal has scratches and dings and there is some rust over the colorsound logo.
