Crown Silver Inc. Weighted Sterling Silver Bon Bon

Description

One tall weighted dish in Sterling silver that my father tells me is a "Bon-Bon". I did not ask for further details and he did not explain further. This dish is estimated to have been produced by Crown Silver Inc. in the mid 20th century in Massachusetts. The dish is stamped with the makers mark, sterling, and weighted. It features a rope style edging, marquise and triangle pierce work, and 4 floral embellishments with 5 petals each. Despite how tall it is, the dish remains level and is not bent in either direction however dents near the stem on the bowl and dents along the base can be observed.
