    Description

When I was a boy these cans were quite common because every farm around here would probably have one. That was years and years ago. The can was used to bring fresh milk from the barn to the kitchen in the house and the milk was transfer to a pitcher in the kitchen or icebox or early in the refrigerator. When you looked at the pitcher when the milk settled half was cream and half was skim. You could almost taste the butter. The farms have long since been gone and the cows with them and these milk cans are not very common anymore. The can measures 8  3/4 inches from handle to the base. The side handle measures 2 1/2 inches and the base 4 1/4 inches. There is some minor corrasion on the bottom and some minor aging on the lid and the inside of lid and can. Pics show all parts.
