This listing is for a lovely early 20th Century English Sterling Silver teapot made by the Atkin Brothers in Sheffield, c. 1912. This beautiful teapot has an oval shaped body with ebony wood handle and finial. The spout is ribbed on each side. The finial handle on the top of the lid attaches with a screw through the top of the lid. The lid has a tight hinge and opens and closed correctly. This tea pot holds about three pints and is a nice size for use by an individual who still enjoys the finer things of life including afternoon tea. Marked with English hallmarks for Sheffield, Sterling, date code for 1912 and maker's stamp for the Atkin Brothers. Hallmarks are crisp and are located just below the rim of the base to the right of handle.
Measures 6 1/2" high (at handle), 10 3/4" wide (from spout to handle) and 4 1/2" deep. Weighs 555 grams.
This nice teapot is in excellent Estate condition with noted flaws and reflecting only faint signs of normal wear as expected from age/use.
