EXTRA LARGE GEORG JENSEN “COSMOS” TEAPOT #45C

Description

A rare sterling silver Georg Jensen teapot, design #45 by Johan Rohde from circa 1915, often referred to as the “Cosmos” pattern.
This piece has an unusual handle, with woven bast, instead of the usual ebony. If you look at the construction of the handle, you can see it was made this way from the factory, not a later alteration. Perhaps made for a special order?
Measures 5 7/8″ (14.5cm) in height. Holds approximately 40.5oz (1.2l).
