    Fine Edward Barnard English Sterling Silver Hand Chased Tea Set Ca 1847. Victorian Elegance and Heavily made High Quality solid Sterling Silver 4 piece Tea Set. All pieces bearing English Sterling Silver Hallmarks, assayed in London with date mark for 1847. Makers Stamp for Edward Barnard & Sons, A First Class Silversmith of the period. The decoration including garlands of flowers, Ribbon bows, Cabochon and Acanthus all hand chased and exuding high quality craftsmanship. Coffee Pot 11 ½ inches high, Tea Pot 9 ¾ inches high, Creamer 6 ½ inches high and open Sugar bowl 6 ½ inches high. A substantial and heavily made set with a combined weight of the 4 pieces being 2466 grams.
