Finland Solid Silver Tea Caddy or Ginger Jar with Chained Figural Milk Urn Marked Turku 813
Presented is a great solid silver Tea Caddy or Ginger Jar figural milk urn marked for solid 813 fine silver made in Turku Finland with a date mark for silver made in 1958. American standard sterling silver is 925 fine so there is slightly less silver in this alloy. It has a few engraved dedications of Juha Koskinen around the top apron and Nov.5.58 on the other side of apron top, a mixed letter TM on the side of canister and Tampereen Lihajalosted Oy on the bottom above the hallmark. It is in lovely condition with only some flea-bite dings and some fine scratches from gentle use and care
.
It is a great addition to almost any classic tea service.
