One Gorham Sterling Silver (.925) Paul Revere Bowl measuring 7.5" diameter. This bowl is stamped with the makers mark, "Sterling", 41659, "3", "P. Revere", "Reproduction". The reproduction of this bowl i
s patterned after an original hand-crafted by Paul Revere in 1768. The original work made in 1768, is often referred to as The Liberty Bowl and was engraved with the 15 names of the Sons of Liberty who commissioned its work to celebrate a decision to disobey the King's order and subsequently not rescind a letter circulating around the colonies that encouraged protest and a united front against taxation without representation. The original bowl can be found at the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. The reproduction of the "Liberty Bowl" has been made by many companies over the years however this example by Gorham is of exceptional quality and made in Sterling Silver (.925).
