" with Ashley Wilkes for a long time and it came as a surprise when the Tarleton boys told her a secret....the Ashley's engagement to Melanie Hamilton would be announced the next day at the Wilkes' Barbeque at Twelve Oaks.  Frantically Scarlett tried to understand how Ashley could do that because he

love her.  During family devotions, it occurred to Scarlett that Ashley did not know she loved him and once he knew, he would never marry Melanie.  Tomorrow she would be "The Belle of the BBQ", and the young men of the county would be flocking to her.
The gown Scarlett wears is a flowing white silk organza gown with green floral print.  The gown features a large green sash and lace ruffle.  Accessories include a large hat  with a green ribbon bow.   No southern belle would be without a parasol, Scarlett's is green.
I have always been an avid collector of anything GWTW especially Scarlett and Rhett.  Now that I have retired, I've decided to part with my treasures so that someone else may enjoy them.
