    Description

    This Honduras 500 Lempira banknote with serial number AK0675365 was issued in 2016. Its obverse side features a portrait of Ramon Rosa, a prominent lawyer and liberal writer during the second half of the 19th century, a mailbox as a registration device, and the La Merced church. The reverse side features mining buildings at Rosary of San Juancito in 1893 and a mailbox. The note measures 156 x 67 mm and contains a windowed security thread with demetalized BCH 500 to enhance its security features. Placing the note under a UV light would reflect a watermark image of Ramon Rosa and electrotype BCH.
