One Sterling Silver Compote Bowl with a weighted base made by La Pierre in the early 20th century in New York or Newark, New Jersey. The company La Pierre was active between 1888 - 1929 before it was absorbed by International Silver. Although common with raised dishes of these sorts, this dish is not bent in any way and still stands perfectly upright. Stamped with the makers mark, Sterling, Weighted Reinforced, and the numbers "147"
