Old Metal Box Lined With Wood Asian Pagoda Design

this is a neat old box. it was hinged, but broke off of the hinges. i'm not sure if it can be soldered back, but as is it's like a regular box where the lid lifts off. the hinges are very small. the metal has a red tint to it in some places, so it may have had a red coloring. it looks like pewter now, and may be pewter it's heavy. on the bottom edge is very small writing. looking under the loupe i can't tell what it says it might not be english. this is an old box, so it doesn't look new, but condition is good other than the hinge. size 4.75 x 3 inches, and 1.75 inches high.
Please keep in mind that most items I sell are old and vintage so so there may be some things like odors or light soiling that might be there I try to point out things that i notice but please ask questions before you purchase something if this is a concern to you an I will personally check on an item for you. I don't smoke or have any pets so there usually won't be those type of odors with the items i sell
