    Description

    Professionally evaluated for authenticity
    ...
    Th
is a gorgeous and detailed framed needlework panel of embroidered silk.  We had
    this
appraised by a well known, international valuation group to ensure we were correct in assumptions about the age and quality of this piece.
    This piece was
confirmed to be an authentic antique piece from the late Qing dynasty that celebrates the 100 boys / children at play (fishing, flying kites, climbing trees, around the campfire, etc.).  This symbolism represents the innocence of childhood and carefree fun filled days prior to the communist regime.  Each figure is done with detailed stitching that gives the impression of slight dimension of the figures.  The last picture shows the picture at a slight angle to see the 3D effect.
Overall size of the frame is 26.25" tall x 12.75" wide (66 cm x 32.5 cm).  Just the viewable textile is 22.25" tall x 9" wide (56.5 cm x 23 cm).
The panel is surrounded with a decorative border and then framed in a golden toned frame under glass.  The back is a thick paper (appears thick rice paper).  This panel is in excellent condition with no damage on the panel. (In some pictures, there may appear to be discoloration of the blue ground silk but that is because we did not remove from frame and so the glass is causing a glare.  NO noticed discoloration is actually present.  This piece does not show signs of water damage.)  The stitches are firmly in place without unraveling.  Colors are still vibrant.  Material does not have stains, tears or holes and is still held tautly in the frame without major waving or creases.  The background color is a very pretty robin egg blue and the thread colors are bold colors.  We purchased at an estate sale from a collector who lived in an affluent area of Colorado Springs.  If you require additional photographs, please let us know...this piece is so colorful and has so many intricately sewn little scenes that it was hard to capture all
    within
the allowed number of photos.  Know that we are honest sellers and offer the eBay Hassle Free returns on this item as we are confident that when you see in person you will agree this is a authentic and wonderful piece. So, if this piece is not what we say or in as good of condition as we say, you can return...but we know you will love it as we have done.
