This rare tea strainer for a teapot is decorated with stylish floral guilloche decor a-la Empire, and makes a wonderful impression. The tea strainer is made of high quality sterling silver.
The tea strainer is a great addition to any table and a perfect exhibit for any collection of interesting objects.
Ideal as a supplement to the collection or as a gift for lovers!
The tea strainer is approx 3 cm. high, and approx 5.2 cm. in diameter.
It comes from the
Ravinet & Denfert factory, Paris, France at approx. 1890 - 1900.
The tea strainer is with French
Guarantee marks for 950/1000 sterling silver (Minerva head with the number 1) and maker's mark
stamped. The temple is stamped with French hallmarks for small items. The clip is not stamped, but I assume that it is also made of solid silver. Genuine solid silver is guaranteed without restriction!
The tea strainer is in a well-kept used condition, with some slight bumps. Polished up by the jeweler, without monogram (see photos).
