Description
No longer in business (1936-1970
),
Fisher Silversmiths Co
has few coffee or teapots in the marketplace, making the 6" inch deep, 3+ measured cups liquid vessel, USA made,
sterling
silver
coffee pot, listed here, a rarity and definitely
not
one for the
scrap
heap. A solid sturdy piece, this pot is relatively simple in design with a plain smooth
pear shaped
surface.
Its beauty lies in that simplicity; enhanced by its' distinctive ornamental handle, accented with 2
bone
ring pieces that encircle the handle. Immediately above and below each bone ring is a
bead drop
, on both the left and right sides of the handle. On the opposite side from the handle, the pot's long neck spout is simpler in design with a plain smooth surface like that of the pot and a single
bead drop
just above its distinctive
bird beak-like
pouring
lip
. The pot's
fitted hinged top
, also with a plain smooth surface, is crowned with a simple and complimenting
egg shaped finial
. The pot rests on a

recessed base/bottom,
where it is marked and

Only nine and a half inches

(handle to spout lip), the coffee pot
weighs

grams.
It's
