  • Condition: Like new overall condition w few, if any flaws. Colors are bright and vivid. Original cork stopper broke when the wine was opened. Part of the cork was reinserted back into the bottle neck.

    Description

    CHINESE Painted Shaoxing  Wine Bottle Empty 330ml
    Measures approx 8 1/2 inches tall X 2  1/2 X 2  1/2 inches/
    Like new condition overall w very few, if any flaws. No cracks, chips, scratches or marks. Colors are bright and vivid.
    Red side- Logn Tao- Possible Chinese military figure from around 150 AD.
    Black side- Yan Liang- was a famous military General around 150 AD who died in a famous battle.
    The wine is yellow rice wine of very high quality(Shaoxing) available exclusively in a 3 star Michelin Cantonese restaurant in Hong Kong.
    As far as I know, bottle has not been rinsed as the cork stopper broke when the bottle was opened. Part of the cork was reinserted into the neck of the bottle before I left the restaurant w the stropper placed on top.
    Most likely in 2010. Has been in storage since.
    Very rare(size), unusual(2 sided hand painted) wine bottle.
