Rare PRELUDE By International Sterling Silver Tea Set of 6 HAND CHASED C366C

For sale is a vintage and rare 6 piece solid sterling silver tea and coffee set with
a sterling silver tray in the PRELUDE pattern (introduced in 1939) by International.
Marked as C366C, the pieces in this special set are hand chased with repousse
scrolls and a floral motif not seen on the regular PRELUDE pattern.  This makes
these pieces quite heavy; the total weight of the set of 6 is 4,614 grams of sterling
silver.  The set is comprised of the following:
Tea Pot
- 9" tall by 9-1/2" across by 6" wide.  Capacity marked 10 CUPS; 801 grams
Coffee Pot
- 10-5/8" tall by 9-1/2" across by 5" wide.  Capacity 9 CUPS; 798 grams
Lidded Sugar Bowl
- 6-1/4" tall by 5-3/4" across by 4" wide.  319 grams
Open Creamer
- 5-1/8" tall 4-1/2" across by 3-1/4" wide.  246 grams
Waste Bowl
- 3-1/2" tall by 4" in diameter.  223 grams
Tray
- 23-1/8" long by 16" wide by 1-1/2" high.  2,227 grams
All 6 pieces are are marked PRELUDE, International, STERLING and HAND
CHASED.  5 are marked C366C; the tray is marked W300-35C and 23 IN.  They are
in excellent used condition with a nice original patina, hand cleaned only for the
purpose of making photos.  All lids fit flush and secure: all handles are nice and tight.
There are no monograms.
