    Description

    This incredibly Rare set of three attached postcards are early advertising for the Van Winkle Gin and Machinery Works Company. The company was based in Atlanta, Georgia. Three individual postcards that are still attached in a sheet that measures approximately 11 x 5.5 inches have African Americans as some of the subject matter. The attached Advertising postcards are probably C 1900 and have 3 different scenes. 1 ) The top postcard “ Cotton from start to finish” shows African American workers in a cotton field.
    2) shows the Actual machine: “ Cotton Ginning - Van Winkle Gins
    3)The bottom postcard: “ Cotton baled ,going to market on Van Winkle motor truck. There is a handsome African American man driving the truck.
    These amazing attached advertising postcards appear to be in very good condition with minor rounded corners and dirt marks and dirt smudges.
