    Description

If you have stepped on the accelerator pedal of your 1981-1985 W123 diesel and nothing happens, you have probably suffered the dreaded fate that entropy takes on this key part. The accelerator linkage from the motor to the firewall houses the bushing/pivot, which breaks down over time and eventually crumbles where the linkage is mounted onto the firewall(see photo #6). It is a necessary component for your vehicle to perform properly and safely. When the old part fails, you will not have any rpm's beyond idle speed, no matter how much you press on the accelerator! It could become a major safety issue! This part fits all DIESEL only versions of MB's W123 chassis, from 1981- 1985, that have suffered breakdown due to the destructive force of time and heat. This is the return of a limited run of a custom manufactured part from Europe, which is available here via Ebay only. The part is manufactured of high strength long lasting material, using highly accurate machining, to produce a very high quality product. It is sold as a rebuild kit, and is meant to replace the original perfectly. It is easily installed, even if you have limited mechanical skill. With this rebuild kit, you use your existing throttle linkage mounting plate on the firewall to re-new the original degraded bushing/pivot/insert portion of the assembly. If you have been looking for this part high and low, you already know that MB no longer makes it. I have a limited amount available. Photo #5, depicts how the rebuild bushing/pivot/insert looks during assembly with your own metal mounting plate. Reminder, the only part being sold is depicted in photos #1 - 4.  Photo #6 depicts what the originally installed old part looks like after degrading and failing the test of time and heat. Photo #7 shows where the part is located in the engine compartment. The rebuild kit is available for shipping to most countries via world wide delivery. Check shipping to your location. Check part for compatibility with your vehicle. I also urge you to check my rating and all the positive comments that W123 owners around the world have made about this part!
