RMW Sterling Silver North Shore Equestrian Horse Show Sturgis Trophy Coffee Pot
DESCRIPTION:
Horse lovers, take note! This beautiful sterling silver coffee pot with ebony wood handle was offered as a trophy at the 1937 North Shore Horse Show in Massachusetts! This lovely piece features a delicate spout, hinged lid with slim final handle, and a lovely scrollwork handle. It is engraved "North Shore Horse Show 1937, Presented by The Jockey Club Breeding Bureau" and "The Sturgis Trophy" on the front. The bottom of the piece is stamped "RMW" for silver maker Richard M. Woods, "Sterling" and "188." This piece comes from the estate of noted Rhode Island senator Claiborne Pell!
CONDITION:
Trophy presents in very good antique condition, with minimal patina, wear and tarnish commensurate with age. We gave this a light polish; you may wish to do more. Handle does not have damage. The inside of the coffee pot has some slight discoloration from use. No major damage has been noted, but some light dings or scratches may be present. Please review all photos.
