antique, ink stamped, paper covered tea advertising wood box shipping crate. It continues to remain in wonderful, very well preserved overall antique condition. There's minimal sidewall paper loss, which acts as evidence the box was previously handled and is in fact an antique, period

artifact. Produced most likely for

inese
export, its
charcoal black and mint green ink stamped paper covered sidewalls,
feature the initials
'W. T. & Co.'
as the international importer of the
C
h
inese
tea. The box was produced at the
end of the 19th century to possibly as late as the early 20th century, circa 1885 to 1915
and features a buff colored paper, ink stamped with charcoal black and mint green ink. One sidewall features a soldier or warrior with helmet, sword and scabbard under a table shaded by a parasol, with other travelers and female attendants seen below. A tall pagoda is seen towering in the background. It's original wooden lid is now missing. An outstanding
