Description
Asolid silver
structure tea strainer for a teapot spout.
Spherical-form pierced bowl with gadroon rim.
Bowl with a swing yoke and figural device for hanging,
which made of silver wire, please see and inspect all photos.
Not monogrammed.
Marked to exterior:
"Minerva 2" for .800/1000 silver purity;
Marked to bowl interior:
"? duck B" into a lozenge - trademark for Philippe Berthier of Paris;
tiny "dog" marks on yoke and hanging devise.
Made in Paris, France, ca.1841-1851
