Wonderful sterling silver petite coffee pot by the venerable silver company, Gorham Silver Manufacture, Providence, Rhode Island. Circa 1910. This ageless pattern 'Plymouth' marries with so many flatware patterns and other Hollowware. Ment to be used as an individual coffee pot, or as a demitasse pot. The one-pint capacity is perfect for 4 demitasse cups of Capuchino or Espresso for an afternoon 'pick-me-up. I would use this pot when the majority of guests drank caffeinated coffee and one or two would have de-cafe. This little pot was perfect for the smaller number of drinkers. Why should everyone else get to be served out of a sterling silver pot, except YOU!! Lovely to use when your sisters or girlfriends show up for some SHE-TIME. If you want to score points with the grandchildren (boy or girl), treat them to a lovely cup of tea served in a bone china cup and with this marvelous little pot (don't forget the finger sandwiches, see last photos). They will not forget the experience. My niece and nephew are adults now, but they remember fondly of the wonderful ritual. We are so fortunate that we CAN live in beauty. It is right under our nose. I think I will stop now and make some espresso. Approx. 8 w x 10.75 h x 3.5" deep and 455 gm. Handle and top urn finial is made of ebony. Rich patina. No issues.
