Sterling Silver James Woolley Hammered Lighthouse Demitasse Coffee potPresented is a vintage, sterling silver lighthouse style tapering demitasse pot or coffeepot made by James Woolley during the early 20th century. This piece is done in an American Arts and Crafts hand hammered style, with inspiration from 18th century pieces. The pot has never been monogrammed and the finial is bone.
The underside is marked Woolley and sterling. Woolley was a noted Boston Ma. maker in the earlier 1900's.
This piece is in excellent overall condition, especially for its age. The handle has probably been remounted. It is strong and sturdy. The top insulator on the handle is a replacement. There is some minor surface wear, but no damages and no other repairs than the handle.
The teapot measures 5 1/2 inches from handle to spout and is 9 1/4 inches tall.
This pot can comfortably hold 24 ounces.
Weight: 430 grams or 15 ounces.
