Swedish Solid Silver Hand hammered Creamer, Sauce Pitcher Marked Olaf Hellbom Stockholm in 1814
Presented is an outstanding hand-hammered solid silver Swedish sauce or cream pitcher with a gold wash interior and a raised figural post and handle with bifurcated floral motif handle hallmarked for silver made in 1814 by Olaf Hellbom working is Stockholm Sweden. I have posted a picture of my research on these marks in the photos above.  It has a great script monogram of C.M.D and only pin-prick dings with some fine scratches from gentle use and care. To be noted is the interior bottom where attachment of figural post is visible as a weld mark from the interior with no leaking. It is marked with three crowns in an oval distinguishing this item as 830 fine silver; American standard sterling silver is 925, so there is slightly less silver in this alloy. This is a beautiful piece great for everyday use or and excellent piece for display for the most discerning of silver collectors.
