Stylish sterling silver hot water kettle on stand. Made by Tiffany & Co. in New York, ca 1910. Kettle: Globular with upright spout, swing trefoil handle, and side-hinged cover with stylized bud finial. Stand: Square with open heraldic shield supports on curule mounts, and corner pierced-scroll oval supports. Heating element: Detachable with hinged cover. Kettle has chased border in form of imbricated leaves or chevrons. A popular motif that is sometimes known as Wave Edge. Stand sides have same in low relief.
All pieces fully marked including pattern no. 3448, order no. 46019, and director's letter m.
