Vintage 1893 ? Repousse William Comyns Sterling Silver Tea Caddy / Canister

We just found this item in a storage unit. We think it’s a Tea caddy, but we are not sure. See the pictures for the markings. We had it tested and it is sterling silver. It weighs about 5 ounces. The diameter of the bottom is about 3.25” and it measures about 3.5” high.
This piece has some wear. The very top is dented and has a few minor marks. The bottom is not perfectly flat. It also has a few marks around the edge of the top. See the pictures for detailed condition.
