Vintage Chinese Jade Planter with Jade Jadeite Quartz Hardstone Bonsai Tree

Description

The flower petals are of various colors, including white, green, and yellow-orange. Some are solid in color, others are mottled. The flowers’ pistils and stamens are made of twisted metal and yellow or red glass beads. The petals are attached together with thin metal wires.
The leaves are scored on their upper surface to replicate veins in a leaf pattern. Similar to the flowers, the leaves also vary in color, and from solid color to mottled.
The
approximate
overall height of the piece (from bottom of planter feet to topmost branch of jade tree) is 71/2 inches. The
approximate
overall width is 6 inches (from outer leaf tip to outer leaf tip).
The upright trunk and stems are wrapped in a blue/green fabric believed to be silk. The pot “soil” consists of green pebbles in a solid block. The tree is seated firmly in its planter. The leaves and flower petals are all firmly attached with no obvious breaks or loss and in good vintage condition with only age-appropriate wear.
The light green jade rectangular pot / planter / jardinière / urn
is approximately
3 inches long x 2 1/2 inches across when measured at the extended lip. It stands 1 1/2 inches to the top of the pot.
There are no marks or labels on the tree or planter so we cannot certify age or maker.
Note: we did light cleaning of the tree/flowers/leaves. We are leaving the fun of a thorough cleaning to the new owner.
